Basic Information

  Li Shuqin, female, Han nationality, born in March 1965, Chengcheng of Shaanxi Province. She graduated from Northwest Agricultural University (Now Northwest A&F University) in 1989 with a master’s degree in Agricultural Water Conservancy Engineering, Department of Water Resources. She is responsible for teaching computer information courses at the university after graduation. In December 2003, she was promoted to professor and appointed to the third-level teaching position in 2008. In July 2003, she became the deputy dean of the College of Information Engineering at Northwest A&F University and was qualified as master’s supervisor in the same year. She is the dean of the College of Information Engineering at Northwest A&F University from May 2010 to December 2016. She is also a member of the China Computer Software Federation, China Fundamental Computing Education Society, and the Shaanxi Computer Education Society. She takes charge of the construction of the master’s degree unit of the secondary disciplines in computer application technology in the college.

She has been awarded “School-level Eminent Teacher”, “Advanced Teacher”, “Yangling Outstanding Youth” and "Shaanxi Outstanding Youth Teacher”.

Courses

 She undertakes the teaching task of “Computer Application Fundamentals Series” for non-information majors and “Database Principles and Applications” for information majors. She is responsible for teaching public fundamentals of Computers, “Programming and Scientific Computing” to all graduate students at school.

 

Academic Achievement

 The “Reform and Practice of Computer Fundamentals Teaching Model for the 21st Century”, won the Second Prize of Shaanxi Excellent Teaching Achievement in 2003. She developed the course, “Computer Application Fundamentals”, as the leader, which won the Provincial and National Excellent Courses in 2004. The “Visual Basic 6.0 Programming Online Course” won the First Prize of Multimedia Online Courses in October 2003 (Education Department of Shaanxi Provincial Government) and many other awards. She has edited or co-edited 12 textbooks, of which 6 have been officially published. Among them, 3 are edited as the chief editor and 3 as the associate editor, including 1 national “Tenth Five-Year Plan” textbook and 1 Ministry of Agriculture “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” textbook each, and 4 Regional Planning Textbooks. She has edited 6 textbooks in school, including “Visual FoxPro” and “Relational Database Principles and Applications”, which have played an important role in teaching.   

In recent years, she has directed and participated in 9 scientific research projects, including 2 National 863 High-Tech Program key water conservation sci-tech projects, 1 Shaanxi Provincial Natural Fund Project, 1 provincial tobacco company project and 2 university talent fund projects, and has participated in 3 provincial horizontal joint projects. Her research field mainly focus on Database Design, Intelligent Theory Application and Systems Engineering, and she has gained some achievements in water resources optimization and management, intelligent expert systems, etc. She has published more than 35 research papers, among them, over 30 scientific research papers published on first-class journals or core journals such as Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering and Acta Agriculturae Boreali-Occidentalis Sinica, and 5 papers on educational reform are published on educational research journals such as Higher Agricultural Education Research. These research fruits have enriched teaching resources and become typical cases in teaching. They are also recorded in self-edited textbooks that readers are accessible to them.
