Basic Information/ Introduction

Zhang Hongming, male, a Mongol born in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia. He is a doctor, professor, and doctoral supervisor, awarded as Baogang Excellent Teacher. He is the executive director of the CCF Digital Agricultural Branch, Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, Shaanxi Computer Society, Shaanxi Computer Education Society, and the Expert of Shaanxi Agriculture and Rural Areas Information. He also serves as the leader of the Shaanxi College Youth Creativity Team, “Agricultural Information Processing and Intelligent Analysis”. He has been a visiting scholar and postdoctoral researcher at the Water Resources Institute of CSIRO and at the Department of Environmental Science of Wageningen University & Research. He has been awarded “Outstanding Teacher” and “Favorite Teacher of Graduates” many times. He is mainly engaged in the research and practice of Agricultural Artificial Intelligence, Spatial Big Data Analysis, Digital Terrain Model, etc. He has presided over and participated in many relevant research projects including the “973 Program”, “863 Program”, Key Research and Development, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In recent years, he has published 72 papers in Geoderma, Catena, Remote Sensing, Computers & Geosciences, Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Machinery, etc., with 46 papers indexed by SCI or EI. Zhang Hongming has applied methods such as machine learning and deep learning to crop growth, animal monitoring, geospatial data analysis & mining, constructed new agricultural artificial intelligence technologies and methods, and provided solutions for agricultural wisdom. He has combined regional soil erosion evaluation with GIS spatial analysis methods and designed & formed a digital terrain analysis solution under big data conditions. He has also combined GIS and RS with agricultural production to complete several expert systems such as water and fertilizer diagnosis and apple pest and disease diagnosis.

Courses

He undertakes the teaching of courses such as Object Orient Analysis & Design, .NET Technology, Object Oriented Programming, Object Oriented Programming (A), etc. He has taken charge of 6 teaching reform projects, including New Engineering Project of the Ministry of Education, Industry and College Collaborative Education Program. He has published 8 papers on teaching reform. He is awarded 1 Special Prize and 2 First Prizes for Shaanxi Provincial Teaching Achievement, and 1 second prize of School’s Teaching Achievement. He has edited 1 textbook and coedited 2 textbooks.
